This privacy policy describes VPNod.com's policies on the collection, use and disclosure of information you provide or collected while using our services. Should you have any questions about this policy, please contact support@vpnod.com

  1. Information collected for registration

To register for VPNod.com a user is required to provide an e-mail and a password for validating the user's identity and no other personal information like name or address is required for registration. The e-mail is used as the main account identifier for VPNod.com as well as our VPN servers. The passwords are never shared and we take every effort we can to secure them. However, users are also responsible for the safety of their passwords and we recommend changing them regularly and using strong passwords that contain a combination of numbers, letter, and symbols to make them hard to guess.

  2. Information collected while using VPNod.com

VPNod.com takes advantage of cookie technology to perform certain activities like user authentication. We also take advantage of 3rd party services like google analytics that also use cookie technology in addition to location information based on IP addresses and collect various information on visitors to VPNod.com. The collected information is used by VPNod.com to improve our services.

  3. Information collected for payment

To complete a payment transaction, the user is required to submit some sensitive information like his/her name, address, credit card number, or special validation codes depending on the chosen payment method. Some payment methods will forward the user to a third party website that might collect such information and offer payment verification to VPNod.com. In such cases, the user information is not stored or collected by VPNod.com, except for some information used to verify payment like an account identifier and a confirmation code.

  4. Information collected while using our VPN services

When using our VPN services, we log usage information such as time of connection, real IP address, source and destination ports and IP addresses opened. These logs are kept for a temporary period and the information in these logs is used mostly for accounting, improving services, and confirming terms of use infringements as a result of receiving a DMCA notice or complaint from another ISP about abuse.

Upon the confirmation of an infringement of the terms of service agreement, we deal with such instances internally in accordance with the terms of service and without sharing user information with third parties. In the case of DMCA's and ISP abuse complaints we let the complaining party know that the abuse incident has been dealt with. There are some extreme cases detailed in the next section, where we can choose to either preserve or share log information pertaining to a particular user

  5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
